Talk:FAQ
humm, How much does it cost?
"If you stay in a hotel or apartment in Esino Lario, your daily registration ticket costs 100.00€, which includes accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee break and welcome bag. "
Should not better say "your daily registration ticket costs 100.00€, for the whole conference 300€", or something like that? Rodrigo Tetsuo Argenton (talk) 23:31, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
SIM info
I'm guessing several people will want to buy SIM cards to make sure they can access Internet from their mobile. Has a resource like this one been reviewed? (It may be imported here in case). What's the best choice (I'm guessing not all networks work equally well in Esino)? Will someone provide better/different information? Thank you.
- Absolutly do not use Wind and 3. they do not work in Esino Lario. Only tim and vodafone. can you add the info on the FAQ please? --iopensa (talk) 14:00, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
- By the way, we even contacted the two companies to upgrade or make the service available but they didn't do it. 3 told us they would do they best; wind told us no. --iopensa (talk) 14:01, 8 June 2016 (UTC)
Water
Is tap water safe to drink in Esino and nearby? What else should people who will not stay in Esino or very close to the centre know? --Elitre (talk) 11:40, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Moar
- What happens if my luggage gets lost? - I added the address, please double-check.
- what telephone number should I call in case of breakdown/accident? - AFAIK that depends on the car's brand, so they should check their car's documents for the relevant numbers. In several cases people may need to call Europ Assistance.
- Will shops accept credit/debit/ATM cards in Esino? --Elitre (talk) 11:55, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Conference guide
I believe that key info is a bit too scattered. One of the things WM DE does for WmCon is sending a conference guide to attendees with the information people need to know. (It's the same they print and provide inside the badges.) Despite all the best efforts, dozens of people every year keep asking the same questions even after getting it (mainly about how to reach a certain place from another). I can't help but thinking that this is human nature, but I'd recommend looking into doing something similar if you can. Best, --Elitre (talk) 12:11, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Translator app
Can anyone recommend their favorite translating app (possibly the kind that allows instant translation of printed text via smartphone camera)? It was particularly useful in Mexico City, where restaurants didn't have an English menu and staff couldn't understand us. --Elitre (talk) 15:49, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
