The meetup "Global Policy Meetup" aims to connect Wikimedians outside of North America and the EU who are interested in public policy.
Description
The policy team at the Wikimedia Foundation would like to invite Wikimedians from chapters and user groups outside of (English-speaking) North America and the EU to a Global Policy Meetup. At this meeting, attendees can share their policy concerns are and what they are currently working on. The meetup will help the WMF policy team to support community members and allow participants to exchange thoughts and build synergies with other groups who may be facing similar challenges.
In order to showcase one possible way of “doing public policy”, Dimi from the Free Knowledge Advocacy Group has agreed to join our meetup and to tell the story of his group and share a little about his experience working on European issues in Brussels.
